Terroir

In a terroir of moorland on sandy loam soils, we have 130 hectares of vineyards. Where we preserve centuries-old vines. We combine tradition with modern, sustainable techniques that guarantee the production of elegant wines of exceptional quality, while maintaining a firm commitment to sustainability.

The vineyards of indigenous varieties, such as Fernão Pires, which is over 70 years old, Castelão, which is 100 years old, and Touriga Nacional, along with some renowned international varieties, planted on the famous Miocene sands, benefit from a unique climate, with a moderate climate, with average temperatures of between 15º C and 16.5º C. The amount of sunshine is around 2,800 hours a year and the average annual rainfall is 750 mm, which is classified between Mediterranean and Atlantic, where there are warm days and cool nights that give our grapes full ripeness and perfect balance.
